Book a tour

After receiving your inquiry, we will work out an ideal tour itinerary and price with full understanding of your requirements (we might have more questions). When it finally meets your satisfaction, it's time for you to book your Tibet trip with us. Here are some easy steps to book a tour with Tibet Travel Plus:

1) State in an email to tell us that you accept the tour itinerary and price we provided (together with inclusions and exclusions);

2) Reservations and Payments

a. We suggest you book your Tibet tour at least 45 days before your arrival date, especially for the peak season of August and September. A deposit of $100 per person is required to secure your reservation when you confirm your trip with us. The balance is to be paid in full no later than 45 days prior to your arrival in Tibet or Chengdu.
b. If the booking is made within 30 days but 15 days prior to your arrival in Lhasa, you are required to pay 50% of the total payment to secure your reservation when you confirm your trip with us. The balance is to require to be paid no later than 7days prior to your arrival.
c. If the booking is made within 15 days prior to your arrval in Lhasa, you are required to pay in full payment. Every effort has been made to produce pricing information accurately. We reserve the right to correct errors.

3) At the time you pay the deposit, we also need some information of every member in order to apply for your Tibet travel permit:

- full name;
- gender;
- date of birth;
- passport number;
- nationality;
- occupation;
- all exactly the same as on your passport. And you need to tell us your occupation because journalists and people that could be involved in political matters could be revoked (they need more complicated procedure to get a permit). * Please fax a clear copy of each member's passport and China visa to us at (86)28-87562424; then write in email to your travel advisor the above 6 items (the fax copy may not be clear enough to recognize so email writing is necessary).

4) Once we received your deposit, we will make all the reservations according to your itinerary within one week. We will send you a confirmation letter when all the bookings are secured. At this time all you need is to pack up for your lifetime trip to Tibet!

How to pay?

Thank you for choosing Tibet Travel Plus as your tour operator. The best way to send money to us is by wire transfer through a bank.

1. Pay by Credit Card

Tibet Travel Plus accepts credit card payment with authorization letter by fax. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express Card, Diners.
Right now we do not provide online credit card payment because Tibet's e-commerce infrastructure is not so safe and stable as that in western countries. But with authorization fax, it is very safe and easy:
1) Please find the credit card payment authorization form at the end of this document or download it at:
http://www.tibettravelplanner.com/download/aat_ccp1.doc (Microsoft Word format)
2) Fill your VALID credit card information (card type, number, card holder's name, billing address and card holder's signature, etc.) in the credit card authorization form.
3) Fax the authorization letter and a copy of your passport to us at: +86 28 87562424
4) After we receive your fax, we will acknowledge the receipt by sending you an email, and then we will send it to Bank of China which will help us get your payment from your credit card issuing bank.
Important Notes:
The rules of Tibet (China) Government do not allow us to charge in foreign currencies. Credit card payments charged in CNY are based upon the prevailing rates in China. Your card issuing bank will debit you in local currency and Tibet Travel Plus will have no control on the rate of conversion used by your card company. The result is that the amount charged from your credit card might be slightly different from the amount on the credit card authorization form.

2. Pay by Wire Transfer

Paying us by wire transfer is easy and quick. Your money can be wired to our bank (Tibet branch of Bank of China) account from any bank.
